About The SMS Text Message Lite Module

The SMS Text Message Lite Module provides the ability for your website visitors to send Short Message Syntax (SMS) text messages to the recipient of your choice. You can also have these messages sent to an email address if you like. Great for allowing visitors to contact you quickly with important messages.

• Three recipient modes (New in v1.03) - Choose how you want users to send messages!  You can set the module to one of three modes.  Singe Recipient, Multiple Recipients or User Entered.  In User Etnered mode the users pick a carrier from a list based on region.  Once a Region and Carrier have been selected, the user can then enter a phone number to send the message to.
• Includes US and Canadian carrier lists (New in v1.03) - Choose from a pre-populated list of carriers from the US and Canada.
• Edit/Add Regions and Gateways (New in v1.03) - You can now enter your own list of Regions and Carriers into the module for your users to select from in User Entered mode.
• Multiple Recipients (New in v1.01) - Add multiple recipients to the module and give users the ability to choose who the message will go to.  Recipient list can be displayed as a CheckBoxList (multiple recipients) or a DropDownList (select single recipient from list).
• Display Remaining Characters (New in v1.01) - Disply a count of remaining characters for the SMS Text Message to the user while they type.
• Control Width - Change the width of the control to ensure it fits into the area of your site you intend to use it.
• Textbox Dimensions - Set the dimensions (width/height) of the text box used for entering the SMS message.
• Message Length - Set the length of the message that can be sent (up to the maximum 160 characters allowed for a single SMS message.
• Customized Text - Change the text of the prompt above the textbox, the confirmation message and even the error message (should one ever occur) and the validation message for not entering any text in the textbox.
• Styles - Change the style of virtually all aspects of the control using classes from your skin stylesheet.
